Abrar - The Girl in the Red Coat

Abrar was a young girl who was displaced early on in the current Israeli genocide on Gaza. Despite her displacement, Abrar was always smiling, singing and trying to find joy in the little things. Abrar was known by everyone in her area by her iconic red coat, cute pigtails and huge smile. One day, after being forcibly displaced for a second time, Abrar visited a local toy store with her brother and cousin. As they were approaching the toy store, an Israeli airstrike landed in front of them. People rushed to the scene and they were able to extract Abrar from under the rubble, alive. They contacted local medical personnel but paramedics were prevented from approaching the area by the Israeli army. Abrar died, not because of the initial airstrike, but because of the lack of medical attention.
